Rail - C+3 Course

Race 1

#7 JOLLY HONOUR continues to race with enthusiasm but is struggling to break through for another career win. The low draw and booking of standover rider Silvestre De Sousa are positive, along with the expected high race speed. That all adds up to the perfect conditions he requires, but does he receive the necessary luck to break through and win.
#2 VALHALLA shall go close to winning this race based on his output three runs back at Sha Tin over 1200m. Valid excuses on the dirt recently and a wide draw two back have played there part in tonight's drop in grade, and he's perfectly drawn to improve. He's been kept fresh stepping up to the 1650m with a notable change of rider observed.
#3 OUR CREED took twenty one starts to break the ice with an all the way victory last start. He'll be first to the rail and likely leader out of the stretch but opposing pace on this occasion appears more prevalent. With the rail out to its widest point those on speed are advantaged when they kick for home, provided they don't take each other on earlier up front.
#1 FIERY FLING hasn't produced much in his career but a change of stable last October has him headed in the right direction. A recent trial at Conghua suggested a rise in trip, with a drop in class, would be ideal for his next assignment. Zac Purton was aboard his final lead up gallop and with pace expected early they'll be
closing hard.
#4 CIRCUIT SPIRITANTO was an impressive winner in October last year but hasn't been able to go on with it. A switch to Sha Tin and 1400m recently didn't work out that well but a return to Happy Valley reads a plus. He maps to settle outside the speed throughout the first half, and with a strong tempo expected, he should be racing nearer his best.

Race 7

#3 ARMOUR EAGLE was gased from the outside barrier last start and subsequently faded out to finish down the track. Three runs ago he cut down dual subsequent winner HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE when ridden with patience. It's now obvious he prefers and appreciate's a conservative approach so with Mathew Chadwick atop, from an excellent gate, he's entitled to another chance.
#6 LUCKY EIGHT was terrific here two runs back before a lack of room cost him a spot on the podium at Sha Tin last start. Karis Teetan back aboard along with a rails draw are major bonuses and it's expected he'll travel leaders back. With a sharp turn for home the field spreads apart and the race then presents to be won.
#4 MAJESTIC KNIGHT is lightly raced, ultra consistent and generally all about speed. He'll have some work to do early from the wide and awkward draw but the rail in C +3 position should assist when they dash. If he crosses with out incident then he's the horse they have to beat, which is why Zac Purton takes the ride opposed to others.
#5 GORGEOUS VITALITY is very much on the up and tonight he'll rise in trip for the first time. He's shown speed, strength and the ability to find gears, which shall enable him to win in the higher class. Trainer Frankie Lor has some quality youngster's floating in his yard and this fellow shall be winning more races.
#11 HERO STAR shall be trying to lead throughout and the lower barrier draw is going to help. With two solid and successful seasons now under his belt, challenges associated with the rise into class 3 are now being felt. The rail position, barrier draw and rider booking reads terrific, but unless he lift's his stamina he's vulnerable when it counts.
