Taking centre stage on the day is the running of the Cape Town Met (G1 2000m) – the Cape region's most famous middle distance contest for three-year-olds and up.
The day will also feature the World Pool Cape Flying Championship, one of the country's major sprint races, and the Majorca Stakes for 3yo+ fillies and mares over a mile.
