Here are our best bets for Sunday

Tokyo Race 8 - #3 Sea Glass 

This filly has impressed at both runs this prep and is ready to win. Tackled the Grade 3 Shion Stakes first up and she was only beaten 3.6 lengths. Trainer Yoshinori Muto then stepped her back in grade last time over 2000m at this circuit and after racing on the pace she just failed to fill a placing in a blanket finish. Steps up in trip which looks the right move. She has been tested once at 2400m and failed, but that was in the Japanese Oaks. In this company she gets her chance. 

Cal Ray led and was brave in defeat first up over 2500m at Nakayama. Will take a lot from that run and he is sure to take some catching. 

Hanshin Race 11 - #7 Prognosis 

Promising entire who has four wins and a minor from five runs to date. Worth noting has won 4/4 fresh, the latest when coming from near last to score over 2000m here earlier in the year. He has started once in stakes class for a fast finishing third in the Grade 3 Mainichi Hai here at the same journey at just his second career start. His figures have continued to improve since then and he looks well up to this class today while fresh.

Admire Virgo ran on for a close-up third in Listed grade fresh and can only improve. He goes well second-up and did place in this race last year. Looks a big danger.

Niigata Race 9 - #9 Red Belle Ame 

Honest colt who is perhaps better than record suggests. Has a win and three minors from six starts but a couple of those were in stakes class and hasn't had a lot go right in a couple of others. Last time out tackled a similar race here and kept coming, finishing third in a three-way-photo as they drove the line. That was fresh from a spell and it's worth noting his career best figure was his only run while second-up so can peak for this. Gets chance to break through.

Laulupido resumes and looks a danger fresh. Got off the mark with a strong maiden win before a spell and did place only try here in what turned out a very strong form race. 

Niigata Dirt Race 10 - #15 Roscoff 

Handy four-year-old fitter for one run back. Form had tapered off towards the end of last campaign but ran a top race when fresh, finishing runner-up over this journey. The run was still well off his best figures and with a strong second-up record looks to have plenty of improvement to come. Can go one better with any luck from the wide gate.

Warlord finished fifth in the same race as Roscoff and should be at his top now. Worth noting he did win his only other try third-up from a break.
