NAR racing continues Wednesday with two solid meetings scheduled for Sonoda and Funabashi, as well as Kanazawa and Nagoya. The 1400m Conditions event at Sonoda highlights the day's racing with what is sure to be a thrilling spectacle with many live chances engaged. We've done the form for the day and landed on four best plays across the cards.

Kanazawa Race 6 - #6 Mabu Allonge

Siding with Mabu Allonge after his eye-catching finish on track at the latest. Hitting the line gamely for second, the three-year-old colt looks open to further improve and definitely has the most scope to do so compared to most of his more experienced rivals. Key jockey switch to Masayoshi Aoyagi also captures the attention, with the hot-hand hoop boasting an ultra-impressive winning strike rate of 30% from his last 50 starts. Second career win likely.

Nagoya Race 2 - #10 Elegant Laulu

Looking to kick things off early at Nagoya where our best play comes in race two with Elegant Laulu. Despite not attracting a great deal of market support at the latest, the three-year-old filly led them up into the lane and gave a determined kick before being caught over the concluding stages. Beaten under a length in second, Elegant Laulu strips fitter fourth-up and reunites with leading rider Tatsuya Watanabe in what looks one of his better chances on the card.

Sonoda Race 9 - #2 Mabu Eagle

Despite not winning out of turn Mabu Eagle rarely runs a bad race and has returned this preparation in career-best form with placings in all four runs back. Drawn to advantage, high-striking hoop Tomohiro Yoshimura should be able to land in the ideal spot behind an anticipated hot tempo. Expect him to be too strong for them at the business end.

Funabashi Race 7 - #4 Atout

The Y Yano-trained Atout looks awfully hard to beat off his last start pillar-to-post victory. Already boasting two wins at this venue, Kota Motohashi once again reunites and will waste little time finding the front from barrier four. Without there being a great deal of anticipated engaged speed, expect Atout to create all his own luck out in front and prove mighty difficult to reel in for his rivals.
