Kochi Race 5 - #3 Shomu

Shomu has been racing in fine form, featuring in the winner's circle three times out of four since a change of trainer and a move to the Kochi track. Last start he ran a massive race to salute by 9 lengths over 1400m here. Up in trip today, out to 1600m, but is going too well to ignore and Tatsuya Nakajima  is on board again.

Only one he needs to worry about might be Suda World , who was underwhelming last start but if he can find the form that saw him finish second two back, he could be a threat.

Kochi Race 6 - #2 Danon Teio

Should be a good battle here between Danon Teio and G Max. Danon Teio, a seven-year-old son of Deep Impact , was brought back to earth with a third last start after a string of four straight wins. Is reunited with jockey Minoru Miyagawa here and should easily make amends.

G Max  is shooting for a hat-trick and seems to have really found his form.

Watch for a big finish from them both.

Nagoya Race 10 - #10 Silver Peko

Hard to go past Silver Peko as top pick of the day from Nagoya. The in-form four-year-old filly brought up a hat-trick of wins with success over 1700m last time out, leading throughout and scoring by 5 lengths with plenty left in reserve. Has a strong association with rider Makoto Okabe , who has won five from seven atop.

Majority of remaining field are also last start winners, but this filly seems to have the edge over most of them.

Urawa Race 4 - #4 Ring Boy

Five-year-old gelding Ring Boy has found great success since partnering with jockey Taito Mori , who seems to get the best out of the horse, being on board for four wins from his last five runs. Comes off a 31-day let-up and should be at his best fresh and very hard to beat here.

Don't expect a generous price, as not much else in the field appears to even come close.
