Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Wide open maiden to start, with four of the twelve racing for the first time. Debut-maker (8) KING DRAGON looks to have as good a chance as any. He won a trial all the way back in June last year but didn't make it to the races. He trialled again, fairly, in January and this is a good race to start in. Of those with prior experience, (5) TOP LINE is the pick. Fater a positive trial, he ran 5th of eleven on debut over this distance on January 14th, showing on pace. He should have come on for that run and can get closer this time. (1) MAJESTIC DANCER has raced five times with a pair of 3rd places at this distance and at 1300M His latest couple over 1400M have been indifferent, but he comes back in trip here and draws well. (2) STORM GRIT and (7) GIANT MARINE others who can improve.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(4) GRAY BOSS is the one to beat there. He has been a model of consistency across six starts so far, always finishing between 3rd and 5th. He has the fastest time among these for the distance and today really should be his day. (10) DREAM WAY is the only other one in the field to have a top-three finish to his name and that's enough to put him into contention here. He goes best when on pace and despite the wide draw, in this company, he should be able to get a forward position and he can be in this a long way. (5) TAP BOLT is yet to finish in the top-three in fifteen starts but has had a few near-misses and with an apprentice claim, he can get close this time. (3) CHOEGANG CHONGAL and (8) POSTMAN others who could improve.

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

(2) WIN WIN will need a line drawn through his latest. Instead, we'll go on his effort two starts back on February 22nd when he settled midfield and then ran on strongly for 3rd place, again over this distance. He draws nicely here and is the one to beat. (9) RAON STROKE is another who needs her latest effort disregarded when slow away over 1200M. She has tended to do that but two starts back she overcame gate eleven to run on for 2nd place over this distance and with Tanaka climbing on, she can go close here. (10) BORAM enters off back-to-back 4th place finishes in all-filly races over this distance. She should be settling handy here and can run into some money again. (7) GREAT BOY and (4) STORMY DAY are the other place chances.

Selections (2) Win Win (9) Raon Stroke (10) Boram (7) Great Boy

Busan Race 4: Class 4 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

Small but competitive field. Several of these raced one another over 1200M on February 23rd. (6) WOLFS KING MAN was sent off as the favourite that day but put in a somewhat lacklustre run, laying inward and generally not performing. Prior to that he registered a runner-up finish on debut, beating a few of these in the process and is that effort, together with the step up in trip, that leads us to give him another chance here. (2) CRAZY ARMY debuted at this distance on February 18th, beginning slowly but growing into the race and finishing off well for a close 3rd in a decent time. She should have derived benefit from that experience and can be a danger here. (4) AKARAKA and (7) CHOWOLUI BANSEOK both beat Wolf's King Man in that February 23rd race and can get close again. (9) CONNECT MARINE another in the hunt.

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies and mares only here. (7) AJANTA has never been outside of the top-five with her win coming over 1200M last summer. She has been getting closer at this class, culminating in a 3rd place finish over this distance at the start of December. She comes in fresh here off a fifteen-week layoff and may prove too good. (10) B.K. WARRIOR was a winner at this class over 1300M two starts back before running 6th of twelve on her latest when stepped up to a mile and weakening late. She comes back in trip here and while she may need a touch of luck from a wide draw, she looks a danger. (1) ACHIMUI HUIMANG returned from four months off to run 5th in late December over 1300M. She has had a further twelve weeks off since but looks nicely in here and can get close. (9) SEUNGNI PARTY and wildcard returnee (5) GOLDEN MAGIC are others to consider.

Busan Race 6: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Franco Da Silva has quite the book of rides today and the chances continue here with (3) HEUIMANG GARAM. He comes in having beaten a couple of these on his way to 4th place at this class and distance on January 19th when settling back and running on. His win came in a quick time at 1200M, and from a good draw, he is the one to beat. (6) BEAT DRAGON comes up in class having broken through at start number three over this distance on January 22nd. He comes down slightly in the weights and can sit just behind the speed here and challenge late on. (1) CAPTAIN DIA returned from more than six months out to run 2nd over 200M on February 18th. That brings him up in class, but he comes down significantly in the weights, he should strip fitter, and he can measure up. (8) BEST PRIME and (7) MY MANTRA others to keep safe on a placing line.

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(2) HAEUNDAE STAR has been a model of consistency, only missing the top-four on one occasion from nine starts so far. He has just the one win, two starts back at 1200M, but comes in having run a good 2nd over a mile on his first try at this level on February 16th. He comes up to two turns for the first time, but there is no reason it can't suit, and under a light weight, he has every chance. (6) DALLILLAEYO by contrast, carries his fair share of weight but he is a class and distance winner. He enters off a fair 4th ahead of a couple of today's rivals a month ago, and he can be a danger. (10) CHANGCHANG DAERO enters off a smart runner-up finish at class and distance on February 23rd, coming from off the pace. He carries plenty of weight and draws wide again, but he shouldn't be dismissed. (5) YONG GUN and (12) WIDAEHAN SEONTAEK are others in the hunt in a competitive affair.

Selections (2) Haeundae Star (6) Dallillaeyo (10) Changchang Daero (5) Yong Gun

Busan Race 8: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(12) SOUTHERN SUPERONE was a beaten favourite in a quick race over 1400M on February 23rd when settling midfield but never looking a danger. He has posted consistently quick times and while the draw is not ideal, he has plenty of ability and is worth another chance here. If we are drawing a line through his February 23rd effort then we must extend the same courtesy to (1) BEOLMAUI YEONGUNG, who was also down the field in that race. He previously ran a close 5th at this class and distance and with only four starts under his belt looks to have plenty more potential and from a good draw, he gets another chance too. (8) PEOPLE POWER beat both the former pair in that February 23rd race when 4th. She comes in under the same light weight today and warrants more respect. (10) GALLANT WARRIOR and (2) WONDERFUL FILE others in the hunt.
