Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (6f) Special Weight A / $22,000

Maidens to begin with and (9) BIG BRIDGE will be the favourite having improved to 2nd place at start number three on March 23rd when racing handy throughout over this distance. The time wasn't quick, but it was still quicker than any of the others here have achieved over the 6f, and she won't need to improve much to win this. (2) HAENGBOK YEOJEONSA will be the second favourite. She also showed improvement in that same March 24th race, coming home in 4th place, having been similarly on pace throughout. From a nice draw, she should be on pace and can be in this a long way again. (10) SARYEONI NIKE has shown slow but noticeable progress across her three appearances to date and can continue to get closer here. There are five debut-makers, and of them (7) USEUNG DOLJIN and (5) KHAS look the most likely to make an immediate impact.

Selections   (9) Big Bridge (2) Haengbok Yeojeonsa (10) Saryeoni Nike (7) Useung Doljin
Next Best   5, 11
Fast Start   4, 8, 10, 11

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1 1/16M) Special Weight A / $22,000

Competitive maiden with more than one looking ready to win. We'll side with (4) BAZOOKA BOY. His best among three starts so far is a second place and while he hasn't been the most fluent of runners so far, he does seem to have ability. He was sent back to trial following his last start 4th and he came through his heat well. He draws nicely and the two turns can suit. The main danger is (7) BEAT YEONGUNG. He was a beaten favourite behind Bazooka Boy on March 16th but previously recorded a 2nd and a 4th and with Moon Se-young climbing on, plenty will be backing him to bounce back here. (6) P N S CAR comes in off a 2nd place at 6 1/2f on March 30th. That was just his third start, and his running style suggests the step up in trip can be to his liking. (8) CRAZE CHANG and (3) YONGBICHEON others in the minor money hunt.

Selections   (4) Bazooka Boy (7) Beat Yeongung (6) P N S Car (8) Craze Chang
Next Best   3, 2
Fast Start   4, 6, 7, 10

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (6f) Handicap / $32,000

(1) MR. TROT was a good winner over this distance at start number two over this distance in February when leading for most of the way, before putting in a somewhat ordinary showing when favourite for his first try at this class over 7f on March 16th when he was scarcely involved. He comes back in trip and into a better gate, and he can be given another chance. (9) GEUMAK DIA is yet to win having been promoted to this level with back-to-back runner-up finishes in his opening two starts. He enters off a solid 3rd place at this class and distance on March 31st when handy throughout and while he comes up 2.5kg in the weights, he should figure strongly here. (2) RAON THE CLIPPER is another maiden up in class in his case following back-to-back runner-up finishes in his latest two. He draws nicely to be on pace, comes down in the weights, and he can measure up and more here. (8) FIJI BLADE and (6) MORNING BOLD others in the frame.

Selections   (1) Mr. Trot (9) Geumak Dia (2) Raon The Clipper (8) Fiji Blade
Next Best   6, 5
Fast Start   4, 5, 7, 11

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (6 1/2f) Handicap / $32,000

(7) HWASANGHWIHWAN remains a maiden after nine attempts but has no fewer than four runner-up finishes, most recently last time out over this class and distance on March 3rd when racing midfield and running on. He comes up slightly in the weights but with CC climbing on, today can be his day. If he does manage to find one too quick again, it could be (8) TRISTAN WANGJA. He has been finding his feet at this level and looks to be working towards a second win with a 3rd and a 2nd from his latest two. (1) THUNDER A ONE comes up in class after registering his maiden win at start number five on March 16th when le led every step of the way. He draws nicely to lead again, and a repeat isn't impossible. Those three will be in the majority of trifectas, with nothing else entering in good form. (4) EXPECT and (10) SUNGANUI CHANCE are perhaps the best of the supporting case.

Selections   (7) Hwasangwihwan (8) Tristan Wangja (1) Thunder A One (4) Expect
Next Best   10, 5
Fast Start   1, 7, 8, 10

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (7f) Handicap / $32,000

(2) TAENG TAENG BALL got his maiden win at start number three at this class and distance on March 24th, when settling behind the early speed and running on well. He comes up a full 3.5kg in the weights, but he draws well, and he can win again. This is a competitive race, though. (6) THE SUN FIGHTER has been very consistent across his six starts to date and enters off a close 2nd at 6 1/2f at this class on April 14th when going right back before running on. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but his strong finish means he has every chance of going past the lot in the closing stages. (8) WONDERFUL SPIRIT got her win over this distance in February and has since recorded a 3rd and a 2nd place at this class. She is another with a strong finish who can sit behind the early speed here and challenge late. (7) BRIGHT WINNER and (5) GHOST CHARM others in the frame.

Selections   (2) Taeng Taeng Ball (6) The Sun Fighter (8) Wonderful Spirit (7) Bright Winner
Next Best   5, 10
Fast Start   2, 3, 7, 9

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (6 1/2f) Handicap / $32,000

(4) CHEONGUCHAT remains a maiden following six attempts but got promoted to this class following too many near-misses and ran a competent 4th on his first try at this class over 6 1/2f on March 17th when, as is his style, he set up camp just behind the early speed and then ran on. Expect similar tactics today and he can get closer. He will vie for favourite status with (2) SEOUL CHOEGANGJA. He was a winner at this class and distance two starts back before running 4th on his latest on April 14th. He makes a quick return here and while he carries his fair share of weight, another win isn't impossible. (1) ARCH RUNNER is a seventeen-race maiden but enters with recent form reading well with a 2nd and two 4th places from her latest three, all at class and distance. She draws well and should be there or thereabouts again. (9) MAPARAM and (10) GREEN FEELSTAR others in the hunt for the minors.

Selections   (4) Cheonguchat (2) Seoul Choegangja (1) Arch Runner (9) Maparam
Next Best   10, 8
Fast Start   1, 2, 9, 11

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (7f) Handicap / $43,000

(9) GUKDAE FIGHTER has two wins and two runner-up finishes from four starts so far with his latest coming at class 5 level over this distance on March 17th. He is going to need to improve in this company, but he is down 2.5kg in the weights and has every chance here. (11) WORLD BLAME is yet to score but has a 2nd and two 3rd place finishes from three starts, all at this class. His times have been good and while he has the challenge of the widest gate, he doesn't need to lead, and he has a quick finish on him. (4) VET CAPTAIN enters off back-to-back wins, most recently at this class and distance on March 23rd when he led all the way. He comes up 3kg as a result but will surely be on pace again and can be in this a long way. (8) JUMONG CHEONHA and (5) MISS WIN STAR other minor money chances.

Selections   (9) Gukdae Fighter (11) World Blame (4) Vet Captain (8) Jumong Cheonha
Next Best   5, 3
Fast Start   2, 4, 8, 9

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (6f) Handicap / $43,000

(1) BEOLGYO VERITAS is a winner of two from four, most recently at class 5 level over this distance on March 23rd when he led all the way around. He comes up in class but that is balanced somewhat by a good draw and a slight weight drop and he can be in the mix again. (10) CHEONHAENGCHAT enters seeking a hat-trick of victories. She most recently scored at this class and distance on March 31st when racing on pace throughout and while she comes up 3kg in the weights and has the challenge of the widest gate, this isn't impossible. (3) TAEPYEONG FIGHTER has been ultra-consistent across nine starts so far. She only has the one win but comes in off a smart 3rd place in a good time over 6 1/2f when coming form off the pace and Harry continues aboard today. (7) BAEKDU BOY and (8) GEUMBIT GANGHO are other placing chances.

Selections   (1) Beolgyo Veritas (10) Cheonhaengchat (3) Taepyeong Fighter (7) Baekdu Boy
Next Best   8, 9
Fast Start   1, 4, 8, 9

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (6f) Handicap / $54,000

Another competitive race. (5) COMPLETE FORCE enters off back-to-back runner-up finishes over this distance, most recently at this class on March 2nd when on pace throughout. He continues under a light weight, and he has as good a chance as any. (1) GEUMBITMA was a god 3rd last time out at 7f. He carries his fair share of weight, but Moon Se-young gets on and the drop back in trip can be to his benefit. (7) BLACK CHOCOLATE is very consistent and has run some quick times over this trip. He has the fastest final furlong average time of any of these so expect him to be running on late here. (2) TOUGH MAN and (4) EUNHYE others in the hunt.

Selections   (5) Complete Force (1) Geumbitma (7) Black Chocolate (2) Tough Man
Next Best   4, 6
Fast Start   3, 4, 5, 10

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1 1/8M) Handicap / $43,000

(9) EFFEL TAP doesn't win out of turn, but he has three runner-up finishes from his last three starts, most recently at this class and distance behind Korean Derby hopeful Here I Am on March 31st when racing handy throughout. He comes up 2kg in the weights but should be close again. (1) DEVIL K is another who isn't a serial winner, but he enters having run a close 2nd at class and distance on March 24th when he came from off the pace to beat a couple of today's rivals. He comes up 1.5kg in the weights, but that's balanced by a better gate, and he can win here. (8) DALKONG is yet to win in six attempts but has shown some ability and may appreciate the step up to two turns. (4) GWANGCHIGI and (6) CHEON GUN are others to consider.

Selections   (9) Effel Tap (1) Devil K (8) Dalkong (4) Gwangchigi
Next Best   6, 7
Fast Start   4, 5, 8, 9

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1 1/8M) Handicap / $65,000

It's about time (11) HANGANGUI GISANG returned to winning ways. He won his first four races to get rapidly promoted to this level, at which he put in a couple of fair performances, before missing six months of last year. In both his last two races, he has beaten some of today's rivals and today should be his day. (3) ORAE HAMKKEHAJA returns to racing for the first time since last July. He is a class and distance winner, and he looked when winning a trial from on the pace in March. He can lead here and can be a danger, (4) MIGHTY CHIP is ultra consistent and with CC climbing on, will have plenty of backers to get close here. (1) TAP QUALITY and (6) TAURUS QUEEN are among others in the frame.

Selections   (11) Hangangui Gisang (3) Orae Hamkkehaja (4) Mighty Chip (1) Tap Quality
Next Best   6, 9
Fast Start   3, 5, 6, 8
