The Juddmonte went to Mostahdaf thanks to a top ride from Frankie Dettori as they skittled the opposition and won by a length from Nashwa with Paddington a neck away in third. Aidan O'Brien admitted after that he might have stretched the elastic a bit too much with Paddington who has had a very busy season.
The afternoon started off with Indian Run 17/2 winning the Acomb from fav Ballymount Boy and Loose Cannon was the third home of the 6 runners.
The Great Voltigeur went to Continuous with a very good ride from Ryan Moore with Castle Way 13/2 second and Gregory third.
Thursday is Ladies' Day and there's the G2 Lowther and then the G1 Yorkshire Oaks.
The Lowther is for 2yo fillies over 1200m with 9 runners headed by Cherry Blossom 2/1 an O'Brien-Moore filly by No Nay Never. Relief Rally was on the same quote for Haggas- Marquand – she and State of Mystery 8/1 are both by Kodiac.
The Yorkshire Oaks is over 2400m and there will be 10 3yo fillies lining up. Savethelastdance is by Galileo out of a lovely American mare Daddy's Lil Darling and they are on 3/1 for O'Brien-Moore. Free Wind is another Galileo – Gosdens-Dettori here on 5/1 with a record of six wins from 9 starts. All Husn is by Dubawi and with Roger Varian with David Egan riding – they are on 11/2 for this daughter of Dubawi who has a record of 6 starts for 4 wins.
