Galaxy Patch is the odds-on favourite here for Pierre Ng and Karis Teetan. Over the 1200m he would seem to be the main chance.
The David Hayes-trained Lucky Encounter seems the most likely to provide a challenge and he's on 9.6 with Alexis Badel in the saddle.
With a short-priced favourite a couple of runners at good prices make a claim – Gummy Gummy has mostly been on the all Weather but he has placed on turf as well and is ultra-consistent and well worth a bit of the hard-earned on 21.0, and Carroll Street ran a good second in December although his best form is over 1000m. There are only 9 runners so he should be capable of running a place.
