It is seen as a prep for the 2000 Guineas although one of the joint favourites isn't entered in the UK Guineas and that's the smart French raider Alcantor.  He's by New Bay and is with Andre Fabre who is bringing over Alexis Pouchin to ride.  Alcantor is very smart and his five starts to date have resulted in three wins and two places, with one of the places at G1 level.  He's on 5/2 with Native Approach the Godolphin Appleby-Buick rep who is by Too Darn Hot and he's had a win and a place in his two starts to date.  The Gosdens are sending out Eben Shaddad, a son of Calyx, who was third in the Dewhurst and is on 11/4 and we should mention Cambridge although there are only 7 runners as the Ballydoyle rep always worth watching and 8/1 the quote.

The Abernant precedes and has 14 runners for the 1200m G3.  Shouldvebenaring is o 4/1. Spycatcher 9/2 and both Commanche Falls and Marshman are on 11/2.  Very open.

Wednesday's racing saw Ottoman Fleet sail home in the Earl of Sefton to win by a length from Astro King 15/2 and Hi royal was a head away in third.

The Nell Gwyn, which is a prep for the 1000 Guineas, saw Pretty Crystal 19/1 get the advantage over favourite Dance Sequence by a neck and a tight go for the third between Kathmandu and True Cyan.
