It has a field of 8 for the 2400m race with the going expected to be good.  This year there is a very important raider in the form of Godolphin's Rebel's Romance, a winner of big races in several different countries.  He's in the capable hands of Charlie Appleby and will be ridden by William Buick.  Odds on of course on 1.4

.The locals have summoned up some nice horses but they are not really in the same category as Rebel's Romance, which is not to say they cannot win.  The one we think has the potential to challenge the favourite is Five G Patch, trained by Tony Cruz, who is improving with every race.  Brenton Avdulla has the ride and they are on 9.5.  Massive Sovereign has massive potential and will have Zac Purton in the irons – they are on 5.2.

Whatever the result it should be a race to be enjoyed by all concerned.
