The Group 1 winning jockey heads back to Melbourne to partner Celsius Star for the Phillip Stokes stable in the $175,000 Listed Straight Six (1200m).

The Stokes and Lachlan Neindorf combination has been a lethal one in South Australia.

Neindorf has ridden 16 winners with 39 placings from 75 rides for the stable which culminated with his breakthrough win in the Robert Sangster Stakes at Morphettville late last month.

Celsius Star has been a shining example of the Stokes' dual state training operation.

After winning Benchmark 58 grade in Victoria in March last year he was sent to Adelaide where he has been a model of consistency winning five of his 15 starts.

He has stepped up every time he's been asked culminating with Listed success in the Hills Railway Stakes at Oakbank on Easter Saturday before following up with a game effort when beaten 1.6 lengths behind Extremely Lucky in the Group 3 Hawkes Stakes last time out.

Celsius Star is one of three SA gallopers tackling the Straight Six.

Dom Tourneur heads to Melbourne to partner the Peter and Belinda Blanch-trained Validated who was just behind Celsius Star in the Hawkes Stakes, beaten 1.9 lengths in eighth, while former Hong Kong galloper Master Eight will have his second run back on Australian soil after he was beaten 6.6 lengths after leading up that Group 3 feature.

Carleen Hefel will ride Master Eight for the Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable while Michael Dee will partner stablemate Losesomewinmore from barrier 13 over 1100m earlier in the day.
