The rail will be out 4m for the entire circuit and the track is currently rated a soft 5.

We've had a close look at all ten events on the program and our thoughts can be found below.

RACE 1 - 11:35PM: SIR EUGENE GORMAN HANDICAP 2YO (1400 METRES)

La Pleine Lune could not have been more impressive when making her debut during the Warrnambool carnival a little over two weeks ago.

The daughter of Puissance de Lune had performed well in an 800m jump put here prior and over the 1200m on raceday, she took up the running and continued to extend her margin over the final stages to record a nine length victory.

The runner up has since gone on to salute, franking the form.

She will have taken good natural improvement from the run, the rise to 1400m looks ideal and Daniel Stackhouse goes onboard for team Hayes.

RACE 2 - 12:00PM: MURRAY COX HANDICAP BM84 (1800 METRES)

Mirzann has just the one start in Australia and there was a lot of like about his performance.

Over the 1700m journey at Caulfield, the Chris Waller trainer son of Camelot settled midfield in the run and when asked for an effort, he let down strongly in the straight to finish second.

A winner over 2400m and 3000m in France before making his way down under, the gelding will continue to improve as he steps out over further and the slight rise in trip here second up looks ideal.

He does go up in grade but drops 6.5kgs and has drawn to get the right run under Damian Lane.

RACE 3 - 12:30PM: INSIDE HEADQUARTERS BM78 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Prairie Flower is racing in terrific form and was unlucky not to have finished closer last start.

Off a wide gate she found herself a long way back and with nowhere to go at the top off the straight, she was weaving through runners and charged late into third.

The start prior she recorded a well deserved win over the 1200m at Morphettville, storming through the pack to score by a neck.

A daughter of Star Turn has raced consistently throughout her career and has been placed in both outings over the 1200m here.

Henry Dwyer has secured Ryan Houston to do the steering and he'll take 3kgs off with the claim

RACE 4 - 1:05PM: K.A MORRISON HANDICAP 3YO (1400 METRES)

Modown continues to perform well each time the bar is raised.

The son of Toronado was doing his best work late after drawing out in the carpark in the Listed Bendigo Guineas two runs back and last start, he was again charging home over the final part, this time to finish second.

He presents here hard fit and from the low draw can settle closer in the run.

Damian Lane will do the steering and Charlotte Littlefield has elected to apply the blinkers for the first time.

3 units – MODOWN

BET NOW: Flemington Race 4

RACE 5 - 1:40PM: STUD AND STABLE STAFF AWARDS BM70 HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

Sisterhood resumes.

The lightly raced mare has saluted in three of her six outings and was sent to the paddock after pulling up with a throat issue last start.

A daughter of American Pharoah, she's displayed plenty of natural talent and looks very progressive.

She comes here off two jump outs, her most recent she was strong thorough the line under very little pressure.

Damian Lane takes the mount for Ciaron Maher and I think she'll be well suited down the Flemington straight.

RACE 6 - 2:15PM: SIR HENRY BOLTE HANDICAP 3Y0 (2000 METRES)

Heed The Omens comes off an eye catching performance over the mile here.

After settling in the second half of field the Chris Waller trained gelding was very strong late, working solidly to the line to just be denied in a photo finish.

With only the four career starts, he's performed very well on three occasions with a little mishap in between and he's certainly a horse on a rise.

The step up to 2000m looks ideal for the son of Hallowed Crown and barrier five can see him settle in a handy position under Daman Lane, who stays onboard.

RACE 7 - 2:50PM: HILTON NICHOLAS STRAIGHT SIX HANDICAP LISTED (1200 METRES)

Steparty returns to the races.

The highly talented colt has put together a terrific record since his first raceday appearance a little over a year ago.

He took all before him early on, saluting in first five starts before finishing third in the Group One Caulfield Guineas.

When resuming in January he just had the one run, which saw him finish third in the Group Three Manfred Stakes.

Sent for the break after failing to show his customary tun of foot, he returns here on the back off two very encouraging jump out wins.

He's two for two here at Flemington and gets in nicely carrying just 55kgs.

John Allen knows him well and will again do the steering for Paul Preusker.

RACE 8 - 3:30PM: LEXUS ANDREW RAMSDEN SW LISTED (2800 METRES)

The Map comes here in career best form.

Prepared at Murray Bridge by Dan Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray, the five year mare resumed in February to take out the Listed JRA Plate, before finishing the runner up in the Lord Reims Stakes and then the Adelaide Cup.

Given an eight week let up, she was dominant when returning in the Group 3 QE II Cup over 2500m.

With that run under her belt the rise to 2800m looks ideal and she did salute over this track and distance on Melbourne Cup Day last year.

She gets in beautifully here at the set weighs, Damian Lane hops in the saddle and is sure to afford her every chance from the inside draw.

RACE 9 - 4:10PM: L.V LACHAL HANDICAP BM100 (1600 METRES)

Munhumek returned off a five week freshen up with an even effort over the mile at Caulfield.

He just wanted to over race as the tempo slowed and finished off nicely in what turned out to be an on pace dominated affair.

The well travelled gelding will appreciate getting back to Flemington, as he does boast a very tidy record here and he gets in nicely with the 3kg claim for Tatum Bull.

The wide draw is slight concern but with the big field there, should be genuine speed on which will see him get back and be doing his best work late.

RACE 10 - 4:43PM: TREVOR CLARKE HANDICAP 3YO (1100 METRES)

Shesallshenanigans has continued to improve with each outing this campaign.

She just faded late when resuming here over 1100m and at her second run back, she was strong through the line, beaten just over a length.

Last start she was better again, fighting on gamely to hold second after sustaining a wide run throughout and the daughter of Toronado comes here in peak order.

With almost $1m in prizemoney to her name, she's proven herself a  very capable galloper and she has won at stakes level over this course and distance.

Ryan Houston goes onboard for Simon Zahra and will take 3kgs off.
