Regimental Force is bred to be an early star being a son of Golden Slipper winner Sepoy and Magic Millions winner Regimental Gal.

Jumping straight to the front for Breton Avdulla, Regimental Force travelled sweetly under a tight hold before putting a gap on his rivals rounding the home turn.

The Gerald Ryan-trained colt lengthened stride strongly in the straight under minimal urging and drew right away to win by 9.5 lengths over unraced Godolphin colt Armet (Helmet/Sunflower Street).

He stopped the clock in 54 seconds for the 900 metres, the fasters of the juvenile trials and one of the quickest heats of the morning.

Regimental Force was passed in just shy of his $350,000 reserve at this year’s Magic Millions Yearling Sale.

Regimental Gal, who also won the Group 1 double of the Lightning Stakes and Australia Stakes, has already produced Group 3 winner Lilliburlero.

Ryan also produced a second juvenile winner in the form of Fastnet Rock filly Fast ‘n’ Feisty (ex Necessary Evil), who won by a length in 54.5 seconds while Chris Waller’s Lucienne (Stratum/Wings of Peace) won by a half neck in 55.1 and Godolphin colt Astern (Medaglia d’Oro/Essaouira) won by 1.5 lengths in 55.4.
