Cummings Triallers In Frame For 2016 Robert Sangster Stakes

James Cummings’ duo of Sultry Feeling and Tempt Me Not could be off to the 2016 Robert Sangster Stakes after barrier trial placings at Rosehill.

Both stakes winners, Sultry Feeling and Tempt Me Not were each placed in their respective barrier trials at the Rosehill session on Tuesday and are among entries for the Group 1 2016 Robert Sangster Stakes, run at Morphetville on May 7.

Sultry Feeling worked home well for Kerrin McEvoy for a close second to Kool Kompany in a 900 metre open trial.

Sultry Feeling was a last start seventh in the 2016 Sapphire Stakes but had won her previous two starts at Group 3 level in the 2016 Birthday Card Quality and 2016 Triscay Stakes.

Tempt Me Not was given an easy time when a 3.5 length third to Kaepernick in her 900 meter open trial at Rosehill.

Twice stakes-placed previously, Tempt Me Not broke through for a black-type win at her latest start in the Group 3 PJ Bell Stakes at Randwick.

Sultry Feeling and Tempt Me Not are among 33 entries received by the South Australian Jockey Club for the 2016 Robert Sangster Stakes.

Other high profile entries include Badawiya, Don’t Doubt Mamma, Griante, Petits Filous, Secret Agenda, Sheidel, Super Cash, Tuscan Sling and Wawail.

Cummings also has one entry for the Group 1 2016 Australasian Oaks, run at Morphetville on the same day.

Cummings has entered Camari for the 2016 Australasian Oaks, which also attracted 33 nominations.

Camari broke her maiden with a 1550 metre victory at Canterbury on Wednesday.

Key entries for the 2016 Australasian Oaks include Asinara, Believe, Bengal Cat, C’Est Beau La Vie, Pasadena Girl, Sacred Eye and Silent Sedition.
