Firstly, Kim Bailey has revealed that plans are in place for Happygolucky to feature in the race after his success at Aintree two years ago, depending on his run in the Cheltenham Festival. Henry De Bromhead is considering the race for Envoi Allen, with Chris's Dream and Ain't That A Shame likely to run in the Festival Hunters' Chase and the Cross Country Chase respectively.

Gordon Elliott's Conflated is entered for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, leaving Fury Road and Delta Work as potential entries, with Coko Beach having secured his place after his win in the Grand National Trial. Peter Fahey is also aiming high with The Big Dog, while Jessica Harrington hopes that Lifetime Ambition's weight allocation of 11st 3lb will be suitable for the race.

Nicky J. Henderson is considering the National Hunt Chase for Mister Coffey before heading to Aintree, and D Mccain Jnr has a similar plan for Minella Trump with hopes of getting owner Tim Leslie a runner. Dan Skelton's Le Milos is guaranteed a place in the race, though Ashtown Lad may yet struggle to make the cut.

Willie Mullins' Capodanno and Gaillard Du Mesnil offer genuine chances of victory, while Mr Incredible and Carefully Selected are also seen as contenders. Remastered needs to bounce back at Kempton, while Lucinda Russell's Corach Rambler would be more than suitable off his 146 mark.

Last but not least, Robert Waley-Cohen's Noble Yeats is fresh off a Listed and Grade 2 victory and could be another to bear watching on the day. With the Grand National fast approaching, the top trainers are looking to their horses to put themselves in contention to be crowned the winner of the 2021 edition of the race.
