EXCHANGE PUTS MORE IN THE POCKET AGAIN!

On a glorious sunny Spring afternoon the stars came out to play at Flemington, and as usual we had some staggering price advantages on the Betfair Exchange.

It was much the same on an action packed Randwick card as well with plenty of runners launching themselves into black books.

Mr Brightside's star continues to rise with a brilliant victory in the G1 Makybe Diva Stakes, guided superbly by Craig Williams who endured a tricky week of press surrounding his future with Giga Kick. Champions always respond and Williams is indeed a champion.

The young star of the West Amelia's Jewel showed she'll be a force in the East as well with an excellent win in the Let's Elope Stakes.

Tiz Invincible was perhaps the most eye catching performance in Sydney, whilst Think It Over was terrific in the 7 Stakes.

We will take a look at the price advantages (one reaching a mighty 65.5%!) and all the great stories as Spring ramps up!

BEST BACKED WINNERS

The champion Mr Brightside was quite short leading into the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes but that didn't stop punters from piling in to the tough champion.

Nearly 1.4 million dollars was matched on the race with  approximately half of that going the way the Hayes galloper.

Mr Brightside (pictured) held out multiple Group 1 winner Alligator Blood to secure the victory.

Amelia's Jewel had nearly $400,000 matched on her ahead of the Let's Elope and won very impressively en route to a Cox Plate.

In Sydney, Tiz Invincible held favouritism with a good volume of matched bets in the busiest race of the day, the Tea Rose Stakes.

Invicible indeed!

FIRMERS AND DRIFTERS

Neasham runner Lolly Yeats shortened from $7.20 to $3.65 in one of the biggest pushes of the day at Eagle Farm.

Despite the strong firm they went from chocolates to boiled lollies and ran third.

Similar happened with Tosen Water at Morphettville. $7 into $3.95 but ran unplaced.

Serpentine at Flemington was another. $5.60 into $2.94 and ran fourth.

Don't trust Judas was another at Belmont. $3.90 into $2.06 but lost. (Don't trust Judas or the firm!).

The most successful firm of the day again came up in the last race in Melbourne, just as it did a week earlier.

Carini (pictured) was $3.80 into $2.74 before getting it done!

Strait Acer defied a drift to win at Randwick in Race 3. From $2.32 out to $3.05 but no worries!

One drift that was correct was Lady Tornado in Race 2 at Belmont. A big swing from $4.40 out to $8 and ran unplaced.

Legacies was a decent drift given the matched volume at Flemington in Race 5. from $1.85 out to $2.28 and the Moody runner went down.

PRICE ADVANTAGE

There wasn't a cloud in the sky at Flemington on Saturday…

But punters were happy that it was mostly cloudy on the Exchange!

The Busuttin/Young runner (pictured) delivered a blowout in Race 2 at $28.47 which dwarfed the corporate average by a staggering 65.5%!!

Archo Nacho was another big one at Flemington in Race 4 with 27.2%, Griff was 26.3% in the next, She'sallshenanigans was 27.9% in Race 6 (at $36.46, which represents $80 more for a $10 outlay).

Even the features threw up good results with Mr Brightside 8.3% better and Amelia's Jewel a handy 16.5%.

If you had $10 on every winner you'd be $246 better off.

Every single Randwick event saw a price advantage as well.

The standouts were Private Eye (45.2%), Think It Over (17.7%), Ausbred Flirt (21.7%) and Strait Acer (21.1%).

Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Belmont all threw up races with a 30%+ advantage as well.
