Words from stable rep Liam Hoy: "Always a filly that has had an enormous amount of scope. When she won at Warrnambool Symon thought of this race straightaway.

"He knows the horse back-to-front, no secret he's a good horseman. Aggressive placement and a super ride by Jordie.

"This is a good race for a country stable to aim at during the carnival. She had a bit of a 'mulligan' first-up and we gave her time between runs.

"She fought back (after being headed) and a very brave and tough effort up to the 1700-metres.

"Physically he still looks a prep away."

Words from Bill Wilde - Distance jump: "I must say at breakfast this morning we were questioning Symon's judgment about putting her up from the 1200 to the 1700 but he's been right more often, Symon, than he's been wrong so we were delighted with that win, showed plenty of fight, she was there to be run down so, excellent. A lovely bunch of owners- couldn't be happier on Oaks day."

We seem to do better when yimon doesn't actually attend the races so maybe it's something we'll continue in the future, we'll leave him at home."

Shock win: "It was quite a surprise really, I could see her running a nice race, barrier one was probably a little bit iffy for her, she's very green but I think she does have a future."

"She began well out of the gates, going from 1200 last time to 1700 today I was just able to let her flow into a nice position, had a really easy time up in front and saved all her energy for late.

"I gave her a couple with the persuader just to get her into gear and she was giving me everything she had so I went back to hands and heels and just pushed her across the line and she ended up being too good. Great training performance by the Wilde camp, just good to get a winner on Oaks day.

"She got into a lovely rhythm out in front and came back and relaxed nicely. We got to save her for late.

"J-Mac probably got a head in front of me but I never felt like I was out. I just had to keep her contained. I thought she was giving me her all."
