The 1600m feature and a cracking edition of the Swiss Ace Plate are highlights on a 10-race program.

We've gone over the form with a fine-tooth comb and provided our top selections in each race below.

RACE 1 - 1:18PM: QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap (1000 METRES)

Barbie's Sister (6) is on debut for Tony Gollan following an impressive trial.

The daughter of Spirit Of Boom showed incredible speed to win over 650m at Deagon by seven lengths in super slick time.

She's drawn wide but that isn't a major concern given the nice run from the 1000m chute start at the Sunshine Coast and her incredible early speed.

I expect a bold showing with Angela Jones in the saddle.

RACE 2 - 1:53PM: BENCHMARK 78 Handicap (1600 METRES)

Rising Pacific (5) is racing in a purple patch of form and is looking to win his fourth race in a row.

The Tony Gollan-trained four-year-old gelding has really been hitting his straps with a 3.41 length win over 1600m at Eagle Farm two starts back before proving too strong last start over the same distance at Doomben in Saturday company.

He was only narrowly beaten in his only previous start at the Sunshine Coast so the bigger track will suit.

Damien Thornton, who is fresh off a metropolitan treble last Saturday, retains the ride and is undefeated in two rides on him.

RACE 3 - 2:28PM: 3YO QUALITY HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

Winsome Star (6) has been in good form this preparation with placings in all three of his starts this time in work.

The Symons and Laxon-trained son of Star Turn was held up when straightening over 1400m at Eagle Farm last start but worked to the line well against older horses to finish 1.17 lengths third behind Warby.

He's been looking for a mile and gets that here on his home track.

The lightly raced colt won his only previous start at this course and will be finding the line strongly.

RACE 4 - 3:03PM: Class 3 Handicap (1200 METRES)

Helluva Barty (4) returned to racing in super fashion last start at Doomben.

The O'Dea Hoysted-trained four-year-old gelding settled at the back over 1110m before letting down powerfully in the straight to put them away easily by 1.78 lengths.

He'll strip fitter second-up and did win over this distance when having his second run back last preparation.

There looks to be good speed in the race which will help him run on from the back.

RACE 5 - 3:38PM: BENCHMARK 68 Handicap (1800 METRES)

Fleur De Monde (14) provided another example of solid Sydney form holding up well in Brisbane when finishing second over 1600m at Eagle Farm last start.

The Chris Waller-trained mare hadn't been too far away in two starts at Rosehill and Kensington to start this preparation before coming north.

She settled handy and fought strongly with Tenzing to finish a long neck second with a big gap to third.

This race is no harder and she should be at peak fitness fourth-up.

The wide gate isn't ideal, but Damien Thornton can use her solid early speed to roll forward and find a prominent position.

RACE 6 - 4:17PM: Class 6 Plate (1200 METRES)

Arentee (1) resumes here without a public trial but has proven in the past that he can fire fresh.

The Chris Meagher-trained five-year-old gelding has won two of his five first-up races including last preparation when winning a Class 6 Plate with a similar weight over 1200m at Doomben.

He went to another level last preparation, competing well in the Group 3 Healy Stakes and the Group 2 Moreton Cup before winning last start in Open company.

He's drawn beautifully in barrier 1 and should enjoy a great run on speed for Melea Castle who claims 3kg.

RACE 7 - 4:57PM: BENCHMARK 85 Handicap (1400 METRES)

Cottee (8) is a mare racing in great form and she has shown in the past that she holds that form very well.

The Mark Currie-trained daughter of Merchant Navy enters this race following back-to-back wins at Eagle Farm over 1500m and 1600m.

She is undefeated at the Sunshine Coast in two starts including last preparation over this distance when fourth-up.

Angela Jones retains the ride and has a terrific record on the mare, winning four of the five times she's ridden her.

From barrier 4, she should enjoy a great run.

1 Unit – Cottee (8)

RACE 8 - 5:32PM: MOOLOOLABA CUP (1600 METRES)

Knight's Choice (4) returns to his home track after three runs in significantly harder races during the Sydney Spring Racing Carnival.

The Symons and Laxon-trained Extreme Choice gelding found the line well for fifth in the Filante Handicap two starts back before a solid effort to get within 4.5 lengths of Obamburumai in the Golden Eagle.

He loves the Sunshine Coast and specifically this distance having won all three races over it including the Group 3 Winx Guineas in impressive fashion to end last preparation.

There looks to be plenty of speed engaged which will help him get over the top of them late.

1 Unit – Knight's Choice (4)

BET NOW: Sunshine Coast Race 8

RACE 9 - 6:11PM: SWISS ACE PLATE (1000 METRES)

Prince Of Boom (1) makes his return to racing after emphatically winning the Healy Stakes during the Queensland Winter Carnival.

The Rob Heathcote-trained five-year-old gelding impressed in a recent trial win where Martin Harley had him under a massive hold.

He races well fresh having won three of five first-up races and is extremely well weighted under the conditions of the race.

Harley can cross and lead or settle in a handy position but either way, he looks hard to beat in this year's Swiss Ace Plate.

2 Units – Prince Of Boom (1)

RACE 10 - 6:50PM: QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap (1000 METRES)

Party For Two (1) looked in a different class when resuming over 1000m at Eagle Farm last start.

The O'Dea Hoysted-trained Sidestep filly jumped to the front and never looked back, strolling to a 4.74 length win.

Last preparation the stable thought highly enough of her to throw her the deep end and started her career in two black-type races.

She'll strip fitter second-up and should settle in a forward position for Cejay Graham who claims 2kg.
