Lambourn has trained winners at the past three Ipswich meetings with Jenni Inda Jungle, Heiress and Original Glaze.

Lambourn had nominated last start winner Jenni Inda Jungle for the Class Two but pulled the pin on accepting after discovering a minor injury on Tuesday.

However, he remains optimistic his Ipswich good fortunes can continue with former Victorian Heiress in the Benchmark 62 Handicap over 800 metres.

The three-year-old filly has started only three times in Queensland, finishing fourth at her first two starts at the Gold Coast before leading all the way to break her maiden status at Ipswich on February 3.

"I put her in at the Gold Coast for her first start and she ran into Barassi who looks to be very promising," Lambourn said.

"She dragged them all up into the race and she should have run third that day.

"She then ran fourth in a $100,000 race at the Sunshine Coast over 1100 metres so she should run well in this.

"She's racing well and is one of my better chances."

Lambourn's other starters include Helen's Dream in the Rating 0-58 for fillies and mares and Allezbec in the Maiden Handicap over 1350 metres.

He rates Helen's Dream as the best of the pair following her last start third to Vancity in a 1666-metre Class Two at Ipswich on February 3.

"Her third at Ipswich last time was a huge run but I had a lot of trouble trying to find a jockey for her as there were so many meetings on that day," he said.

Lambourn has been training thoroughbreds for only four years and has a team of 20 horses in work at Lower Mount Walker near Ipswich.

He heads into Ipswich for fast morning track work twice a week.

Lambourne is well known in the thoroughbred industry for his rehabilitation work with horses before he concentrated more on training.

He formerly was a highly successful trainer and driver in the harness industry before switching codes.

"My wife and I trained more than 350 winners in harness racing while I drove more than 100 winners at Albion Park and Gold Coast" he said.
