Just twelve contenders will line up for this year's edition with the in-form Mr Brightside to head the field.

The rising cult hero will start as the short priced favourite, as he looks to defend his title after saluting in the $5m feature last year.

With the temperature expected to reach a pleasant 27 degrees, we're back to a normal time slot for this bumper ten race card.

The rail will be out 6m for the entire circuit and the track is currently rated a good 4.

Our Ladbrokes preview can be found below.

RACE 1 - 12:15PM: VICTORIA GOLD CUP LISTED (2000 METRES)

Carini hasn't been far away in two runs back from a break and looks ready to peak third up.

Only lightly raced, the former French galloper has performed well in all of his Australian starts and looks to have a bright future ahead.

A son of Siyouni, he has a terrific staying pedigree and as a two time winner over this trip in his homeland, he'll relish the rise to 2000m.

Damian Lane stays in the saddle for Danny O'Brien and he gets in beautifully on the minimum.

RACE 2 - 12:45PM: VOBIS GOLD REEF 3YO (1600 METRES)

Fistsoffury strips fitter for the two starts back and looks primed to strike at his third run in.

The Dundeel gelding didn't fire when resuming on the Kensington but was solid last start behind the very smart, Another Wil.

The form around him from last preparation is hard to overlook and he looks ideally placed here at the mile.

He gets the advantage of the inside draw and Jye McNeil goes onboard.

RACE 3 - 1:20PM: SHARP EIT SOLUTIONS HANDICAP BM70 (1200 METRES)

Furious returns to the races.

With only the four career starts, the Redoute's Choice gelding has performed well on each occasion and looks to have plenty of upside.

After being narrowly beaten on debut, he was spelled and resumed in the Spring with a solid win on the Hillside before a luckless run at Kembla Grange.

His second victory came on the Kensington where he charged home strongly from the back to score in BM72 grade.

He comes here off two solid 800m jumps out and in his most recent, he looked very strong through the line.

Jye McNeil will do the steering for team Hawkes and barrier three will see him afforded a cosy run.

RACE 4 - 1:55PM: REWARD HOSPITALITY VOBIS GOLD COMET (1000 METRES)

Lempicka comes off a luckless first up run in the Group One Oakleigh Plate.

From the wide gate she settled worse than midfield but was never on the track.

She fought strongly but just faded over the final 100m, which she was entitled to do.

With three weeks to fully recover and the added fitness, she looks well placed here back at this level.

A very honest mare, the daughter of Rich Enuff boasts a terrific record over the 1000m and she's set to get the gun run from barrier two under Blaike McDougall.

RACE 5 - 2:30PM: QUAYCLEAN ANNIVERSARY VASE LISTED QUALITY (1600 METRES)

Nugget resumed with a solid performance in the Group One Futurity Stakes late last month.

Fitter for that run, he'll appreciate the rise in trip and the drop in grade.

The former UK import has relished life downunder. In his first preparation here, he put together three successive victories before going on to place in the CF Orr Stakes and Doncaster Mile, proving himself a top class galloper.

He does race well second up and has a terrific record over the mile.

Mark Zahra retains the mount and whilst he does have to carry top weight, I think class will prevail.

RACE 6 - 1:20PM: RIGHTSIZE 365 REDOUTE'S CHOICE STAKES LISTED 2YO (1100 METRES)

Bold Bastille bounced back to her best last start, taking out the Listed Furphy Trophy with an all the way win.

The Brazen Beau filly kicked off her career in fine style with a commanding debut victory in the Inglis Banner, beating home subsequent Blue Diamond Stakes winner Hayasugi.

She then headed to the paddock and resumed in the Blue Diamond Fillies Prelude where she led and faded late.

Much controversy surrounded the performance but there was a genuine excuse, as she was found to be lame post race.

A classy filly, she possesses great natural speed and looks well placed here.

Mark Zahra has partnered her in all three appearances and he will again do the steering for team Hayes.

RACE 7 - 3:40PM: CATANACH'S 150 YEARS THE MYSTIC JOURNEY F&M (1200 METRES)

A winner of three from four, Peace Treaty is highly talented and knows how to get the job done.

Sent to the paddock after taking out the VOBIS Gold Carat the well named daughter of National Defence resumes here off two very impressive jump out wins.

Her most recent over 800m at Flemington, she looked to be in a heat of her own as she opened up a huge margin and cruised to the line under a hold in slick time.

With just 52kgs on her back Anthony and Sam Freedman have secured Jamie Kah to do the steering and she's drawn beautifully in gate three.

RACE 8 - 4:15PM: THE SHARP EIT ALL-STAR MILE WFA (1600 METRES)

Mr Brightside will start the short priced favourite in this years edition of the The All-Star Mile and deservedly so.

Now a six time group one winner, the six year old son of Bullbars has continued to flourish over the past eighteen months and comes here on the back of successive feature wins.

He's five from six here at Caulfield, third up over the mile looks ideal and under weight for age conditions, he's perfectly placed.

With good speed expected, he should be able to slot in and find cover and I think he'll again prove too good for them again.

RACE 9 - 4:55PM: EXTREME FREIGHT COUNTRY MILE SERIES FINAL BM80 (1600 METRES)

Hassletoff comes off an encouraging last start performance at Ballarat.

After settling towards the tail the gelding charged home late to grab second under the 62kg impost.

It's been a long time between drinks for the seven year old but he looks to have found a winnable race and will have taken plenty of confidence from that last outing.

He does rise in grade but drops 5.5kgs.

Blake Shinn goes onboard for Tom Dabernig and from the gate he should be able to slot in, find cover and that will see him doing his best work late.

BET NOW: Caulfield Race 9

RACE 10 - 5:35PM: BEL ESPRIT STAKES LISTED (1200 METRES)

Rey Magnerio drops back in grade after contesting the Oakleigh Plate last start.

Beaten only 2.4 lengths in the Group One event, the son of Magnus was strong to the line in what was an on pace dominated race.

Boasting a very impressive record of six wins and two placings from just ten career starts the four year old has continued to step up each time the bar has been raised and a stakes win looks imminent.

He's drawn to get the right run from gate five, with Harry Coffey going onboard for the first time.
