The track at time of publication on Wednesday is rated a Soft 5 with the possibility of showers each day while the rail will be out 2.5m the entire course.

We've provided our selections in each race below.

RACE 1 - 12:58PM: BENCHMARK 68 Handicap (1200 METRES)

Compelling Truth (6) ventures north after giving a good account of himself in a Highway Handicap over 1000m at Randwick last start.

The Mack Griffith-trained I Am Invincible gelding was sent out favourite but couldn't overcome the outside gate and weakened to finish 2.9 lengths fifth.

Prior to that he won two in a row including a six-length romp over 1000m at Tamworth.

He'll be at peak fitness now and should enjoy a nice run on speed for Michael Rodd.

RACE 2 - 1:33PM: Class 1 Handicap (1600 METRES)

Who Ordered Dafish (9) has come back this preparation in good form and went very close in a similar race to this last start.

The Kevin Kemp-trained three-year-old gelding worked home strongly over 1400m here to finish a neck second to Miliarense who got all the favours in front.

The way he ran through the line suggests the rise to 1600m is ideal now that he is at peak fitness.

Cejay Graham, who claims 1.5kg, should be able to settle in a handy position.

RACE 3 - 2:08PM: Class 3 Plate (1400 METRES)

Ocean Zar (15) can be forgiven for her disappointing effort last start over 1600m here as she was suffering from the thumps and dehydration.

The O'Dea Hoysted-trained daughter of Zoustar will appreciate the drop back to 1400m given she is undefeated in two starts over the course and distance.

Two starts back she produced her best performance to date when arrogantly winning by three-lengths.

Boris Thornton will use an inside barrier to advantage just as he did in that win.

1 Unit – Ocean Zar (15)

BET NOW: Eagle Farm Race 3

RACE 4 - 2:47PM: QTIS Two-Year-Old Handicap (1000 METRES)

El Morzillo (2) is having her first run in six weeks following a luckless outing in the Inglis Millenium at Randwick.

The Kelly Schweida-trained Star Witness filly loomed in the straight but was blocked for a run and didn't get out until it was too late to finish 2.6 lengths ninth.

She draws the outside gate but did overcome the same situation when impressively winning a Saturday race over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast two starts back.

RACE 5 - 3:27PM: QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap (1000 METRES)

Malaboom (4) resumes from a short let-up on the back of a stylish Goulburn trial where she pushed two-time Kosciuszko winner Front Page while under a hold.

The Matthew Dale-trained daughter of Spirit Of Boom returns to Queensland for the first time since winning the Listed Calaway Gal as a two-year-old which was over this course and distance.

Since then, she has placed in three races at Caulfield, The Valley and Warwick Farm.

The booking of top local jockey Jimmy Orman is a good guide on stable confidence, and she draws to get a great run.

RACE 6 - 4:07PM: Class 6 Handicap (1000 METRES)

Hold On Honey (2) returned in impressive fashion last start when winning over this course and distance.

The O'Dea Hoysted-trained five-year-old gelding jumped straight to the front and was never headed, easily winning by 1.8 lengths.

He rises considerably in weight but did carry a similar impost three starts back when proving too strong over this course and distance.

He'll strip fitter second-up and should give plenty of cheek for Cejay Graham who claims 1.5kg.

RACE 7 - 4:48PM: Fillies & Mares BENCHMARK 78 Handicap (1200 METRES)

Tojaki (7) returns for his second preparation with Sunshine Coast trainer Stu Kendrick after impressing last campaign.

The four-year-old mare won four of six starts including a similar class race to this over 1350m at Doomben before finding Listed company and a mile a touch beyond her.

She looked good in a recent trial where she worked home strongly under a hold.

Robbie Dolan will settle in a prominent position and is undefeated in two previous rides on her.

RACE 8 - 5:28PM: Colts, Geldings & Entires BENCHMARK 78 Handicap (1200 METRES)

Our Magnus (8) returned in good order over this course and distance last start.

The Corey and Kylie Geran-trained gelding was powerful through the line when finishing a head second to Ladbrokes Racing Club horse, Kanazawa.

He'll strip fitter second-up and has run well when having his second run back in the past.

He's drawn a touch sticky in barrier 10 but gets the services of champion jockey Michael Rodd.

RACE 9 - 6:08PM: OPEN Handicap (1600 METRES)

Daytona Bay (2) drops to 1600m after being run down in the shadows of the post over 1800m at the Gold Coast on QTIS Jewel Day to finish a head second.

The Kelly Schweida-trained American Pharaoh gelding hasn't put in a bad performance since coming to Queensland, winning here over 1400m along with three runner-up finishes of less than a length.

Jimmy Orman retains the ride and his mount will appreciate the drop to 57kg after carting 60kg last start.

He maps to get the run of the race and should be awfully hard to beat.
