"Recognising mental health and wellbeing is a cause special to many people's hearts and will be a feature of the day so please wear blue or a touch of blue. So come and enjoy country hospitality at its best!"

Finally, Sunday will be a great day out for families at this year's Gundagai Cup meeting.

"Our committee has decided to run it as a Family Day with lots of free kids' rides on the day," explained Michael Crowe, president of Gundagai-Adelong Racing Club.

"There'll also be plenty of great food from the bistro; it's a full TAB meeting with the Cup winner exempt from ballot in the [$200k] Wagga Gold Cup. Gates open at 11.30am and tickets are just $10 for adults with kids free."
