The ex-Luke Pepper mare was fourth in the $80,000 LandHQ Quality Sprint on John McGrath Auto Group Black Opal Stakes Day a fortnight ago and boasts a brilliant second up record with two wins and a second from five goes.

"That run has really picked her up." Vella said. "It was a very good run first up in what was a quality field."

"She goes so well second up and she's going to be very competitive here on Wednesday."

With rain around the Canberra region, I Call Junee Home will likely get her pet conditions with the daughter of Delago Deluxe having two wins and a third from three starts on Heavy-going.

"She has a four-length win in Sydney on a Heavy track to her name so that's going to play right in her favour." Vella said.

"I've got Rochelle (Wedrat-Kroezen) on to take three kilos off so that brings her down to 58kgs which suits as well."

I Call Junee Home has drawn Barrier 2 and with plenty of natural speed,should hold a forward position early.

Vella hopes for a successful day on his home track and gives Prophet Time a chance to break her maiden earlier in the day in the Iron Jack Plate (1000m).

"She was great first up in one of the better country maidens you'll see." Vella said.

"She's come on nicely from that run and has to be a really good chance in this."

Prophet Time, who was third in the $40,000 TAB Lickety Split first up on TAB Canberra Cup Day, has drawn Barrier 8 in Wednesday's contest with Aaron Sweeney engaged for the ride.
