David Warner and Tim David are among the players to be overlooked, with just six Australian men set to take part in the competition.
Others to miss out include Josh Inglis, Jhye Richardson and Matthew Wade, as the franchises opted to look elsewhere.
West Indies players, including Andre Russell and Nicholas Pooran, proved to be popular in the first picks of the draft, with no Aussie included.
However, the women have had more joy, with 15 of the World Cup-winning squad set to figure in The Hundred.

Duo remain with champion Invincibles
Defending champions the Oval Invincibles are the hot fancies at 5.00 to win The Men's Hundred 2024 and they will have a couple of Aussies in their line-up.
Both leg-spinner Adam Zampa and left-arm paceman Spencer Johnson were part of the franchise in 2023 and the Invincibles have opted to keep them on board for the coming campaign.
Despite a host of snubs, there was some joy in the latter rounds of the draft, with both Daniel Sams and Sean Abbott getting snapped up.
All-rounder Sams will represent the Northern Superchargers, who can be backed at 8.00 to go and win The Men's Hundred 2024.
The Superchargers have also snapped up Matt Short, paying $145,000 to get the Adelaide Strikers ace on board for the campaign ahead.
Short has scored 493, 458 and 541 runs respectively in the last three Big Bash League seasons, so has a huge pedigree in the shorter forms of white-ball cricket.
Birmingham Phoenix can be backed at 6.00 and they will be hoping that seamer Abbott can play a key role in bringing the title home.
Along with Zampa, pace ace Nathan Ellis proved to be the most expensive Aussie at $194,000 and he will play his cricket with London Spirit, who are priced at 8.00 to win The Men's Hundred 2024.
Aussie women prove more popular
Australian women proved far more popular when it came to The Hundred 2024 draft, with 15 of them set to figure in the tournament.
Three of the franchises snapped up three Australian players, including London Spirit Women, who are 11.00 to win the competition.
Meg Lanning ($97,000), Grace Harris ($78,000) and Georgia Redmayne ($34,000) will all play for the Spirit.
Northern Superchargers Women, who are 5.00, have snapped up Phoebe Litchfield, Annabel Sutherland (both $97,000) and Georgia Wareham ($78,000).
Ashleigh Gardner ($97,000), Alana King ($78,000), Heather Graham ($58,000) will play for Trent Rockets Women, who can be backed at 9.00 in the outright market.
Southern Brave Women, who are the 3.50 hot fancies to go all the way, have Lauren Cheatle.
Ellyse Perry with Birmingham Phoenix, Beth Mooney and Sophie Molineux at Manchester Originals, Amanda-Jade Wellington (Oval Invincibles) and Jess Jonassen at Welsh Fire complete the Aussie contingent.
