St Kilda spearhead Max King will challenge his one-match rough conduct ban at the AFL Tribunal in a bid to face Essendon.

King was cited for a high bump on Finlay Macrae, collecting the Collingwood midfielder in the head after he had disposed of the ball in Thursday night's match at the MCG.

The bump was deemed careless conduct, high contact and medium impact, drawing a one-match ban.

The Saints will already be without Mason Wood (concussion) and Liam Henry (hamstring) against the Bombers.

King will face the tribunal on Tuesday, when Bombers key forward Peter Wright will also have his case heard.

The Essendon forward was sent straight to the tribunal and faces a minimum of three weeks' suspension for his high bump in a marking contest that knocked out Sydney's Harry Cunningham.

Wright, who is 203cm tall, leapt in the air, turned sideways to brace himself for contact and knocked out the 181cm Cunningham.

The Swan was stretchered off the ground and substituted out with concussion.

Wright was charged with rough conduct, with his bump graded as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.

Two other players have been charged with rough conduct out of Sunday's games, but have escaped suspension.

With early pleas, Port Adelaide's Darcy Byrne-Jones ($3125) and Richmond's Toby Nankervis ($2500) can accept financial sanctions for offences against James Trezise and Ivan Soldo respectively.

Western Bulldogs duo Tom Liberatore and Laitham Vandermeer have both been offered two $1250 fines for engaging in melees during their side's win over Gold Coast.

Teammate Aaron Naughton ($1250) and Gold Coast duo Alex Sexton ($1250) and Nick Holman ($1875) were also offered fines for engaging in melees.
