FREMANTLE v ADELAIDE

Friday 29 March @ Optus Stadium

Not a match to inspire huge interest normally but being late on Good Friday, there will be good attention to it.

One side arrives off a start few on the East Coast figured was likely, the other off two disappointing losses that would have seen them considered at worst good hopes in.

Fremantle has given both Brisbane and North Melbourne starts and run them down. The positive is they are finishing games off and showing grit. The negative is they can't afford to do that against more formidable opposition this year.

But when you've Luke Jackson running the show from the middle and getting possessions, hit outs and goals, that is a dominant spot to contend with.

For Adelaide, they may not have that match up able to curtail if Jackson plays that well.

They were right in the game after half time to Geelong but simply faded, doing far too much bombing into the forward line without much science to it.

Having relied on Taylor Walker for a long while now, is there enough potency up front in the big man department?

They actually find an opponent here where they could exploit that if they had the cattle.

The close recent past sees this clash as more in the favour of the home side and yet strangely several of those wins come at the Adelaide Oval.

They have only played once here since its existence and that came in 2018 whereby Freo won in a very tight tussle. Expecting this could well be the same.

The Dockers just but the Crows are definitely a hope if they clean things up.
