FREMANTLE v SYDNEY
Friday 10 May @ Optus Stadium
Another of the games this week involving only teams in the Eight is the second one on Friday night.
Fremantle are trying to show their form is truth and winning at the MCG will only validate that. Remember they beat Richmond easily whereas Sydney had their only loss to the same side.
The Dockers were in a tight game until Quarter Time but then it became more one-sided. Even if things didn't favour the home side, it was always going to need things to work in the visitors favour to avoid an upset.
They desperately need Treacy, Amiss and Walters to snare plenty and with 7 between them, that is a real positive before heading home this week.
It will require more than that against a frugal Sydney side – albeit one who has lost their main man in defence.
Tom McCartin's loss through concussion is sad for him obviously. He's been outstanding. But also the match up will require some invention from the Sydney match committee.
You can't knock their variety in attack though. All those goals from Gulden, Warner and Heeney plus McLean, Hayward and McDonald adding all that from the talls.

It's 3/2 at Optus Stadium to Freo |
This is a real danger game for Sydney even though Freo are in the 8 at present. It will take a quality performance and not just falling over the line.
If it is Joel Hambling that plays and he stands up in his first game for the new club, ironically against his old one, then Sydney must go close. But Fremantle will have great confidence. Toss a coin.
