Tahiyra gets redemption

After an unsuccessful run in the English Guineas, Tahiyra won the Irish version at the Curragh on Sunday.

And she won well – too good for Meditate who ran a brave race for second and wasn't that far away but the winner was too good.  There was a shock when Jim Bolger's Comhra was third at 150/1 ahead of Tarawa.

Earlier the Gold Cup saw the O'Brien Luxembourg get the better of Bay Bridge in a keen contest with the French raider Vadeni not on his best form.

The Lanwades Stud G2 for the f&m was a breakthrough win for Just Beautiful (Twomey-Lee) ahead of Jumbly and Insinuendo.
