Three meetings in Japan today with NAR racing from Kawasaki, Sonoda and Kasamatsu. We've done the form and have your best bets below.

Kawasaki Race 8- #1 Derma Loreley

Now that this filly has notched up her second win when last seen at this track and distance, I think she'll be able to go on with it. She was racing well without winning but put it all together last time out, able to find the front and keep running for a comprehensive victory. She draws to find the top again and regular jockey Seiji Yamazaki sticks with her, who is riding well at the moment. This isn't an overly strong race and she has put up a few numbers now in her career that are capable of winning, including that last start win. No reason she can't do so again.

Sonoda Race 10- #3 Smile Mircha

Great race with five of the ten coming into this as last start winners and six of the ten starting $3 or below at their most recent run. It should be good betting but Smile Mircha rates as the one to beat on resumption. She's won all four of her starts including both over today's trip of 1700m and put up some strong ratings, winning by 5 lengths at her first 1700m run before a tough victory in the Sonoda Junior Cup before a spell. Regular jockey Tomohiro Yoshimura is flying of late, striking at 27.6% at Sonoda recently and while others in this field have shown plenty of talent, they'll have to go to a new level to match Smile Mircha's best.

Kasamatsu Race 1- #9 Fire Code

Interesting scenario here with Fire Code because there are two versions of him. He came from the JRA just two runs ago and bolted in first up, as JRA horses often do at their first NAR start, putting up a rating that would almost certainly win this race. Then last start he started $3.70 and was beaten nearly 13 lengths in sixth. I'm putting faith in that he's comfortably the best horse in the race if he turns up at his best and happy to take the gamble he bounces back here. This isn't a strong race with #4 Tenzan perhaps the strongest danger but he's well exposed and whilst racing okay, he doesn't win often. Either Fire Code wins or it's a complete lottery.
