Old bloke in the TAB

Must give a shout out to the old bloke in the TAB on Monday. There I was filling in my quaddie ticket and all I could hear was him in the background spruiking the bottom weight in the Adelaide Cup to anyone who would listen. I didn't look around to see what he looked like but as I was filling in my ticket heard his raspy voice saying "it's a Bart Cummings prep", "it's got the miles in it's legs", "make sure you have a couple on it" etc. With a little smile I included it knowing that if I didn't and it won I would be kicking myself.

Sure enough, up it gets at about $20s and the quaddie is mine.

Well played old man. Hope you had more than a couple on it.
