The Darley-raced colt Tupac Amaru looks a promising stayer. After seconds at his first two starts he won clearly here appreciating the step up to 1600m. He travelled well in third place, following a moderate pace. He moved up three wide coming to the turn but he was suddenly under pressure as the pace increased but he responded well in the latter stages and drew away nearing the post to score by three lengths. He looks the makings of a very useful young stayer. The David Hayes-trained Razzle Dazzle Rock was second to the turn and he looked the winner when he took the lead at the 200m but he was clearly outstayed by the winner at the finish. *ANZ
