Two-year-old Light Motion put up a good staying effort to win this 1600 metres Maiden Plate at his third start. He was ridden patiently and remained near the tail of the field, wide with cover, following a moderate tempo in the Heavy8 conditions. He improved, very wide, and under riding nearing the home turn. He challenged at the 200m and out-stayed his rivals to grab a half neck win at the post. *ANZ
