Wild ‘N’ Famous began quite well from his inside barrier (1) and gradually eased to settle in third place on the rails. He got into the clear on turning for home but veered off the track from the 100m but he still managed to win, albeit narrowly, near the outside rail. He was wayward in blinkers for the first time, it was also only his second race start, but he clearly has ability and should continue to progress with experience. Lockroy crossed to the lead on passing the 800m. He held a clear lead at the 200m and was only overhauled nearing the post to finish second, beaten a head. Rekindled Power was last in the six-horse field to the 600m and then ran on very well over the final 200m for a most promising third on debut.
