The Godolphin-raced filly Sisken followed her easy first up win in a Newcastle Maiden (1200m) on 8 April with a narrow but good win here. She settled nicely outside the leader (In Times Of War), looked beaten at the 200m but then came with a late run to grab a good win, looking suited to further. In Times Of War was quickly away, raced a bit keenly in front (in blinkers for the first time), briefly looked the winner when she got a break halfway down the straight but was overwhelmed nearing the post to finish second. The Les Bridge-trained Slow Burn, a winner on debut here on 17 April, was slow to move and raced in last place in the five-horse field before coming with a strong late run to finish a close up third.
