In a three-way finish the Gerald Ryan-trained filly Fournett put up a good effort in winning, her second win in succession after taking out a Kembla Maiden (1500m) on 23 May. She settled back in sixth place (three wide), behind a good pace before improving (deep) from the 700m. She was under riding at the home turn, lifted at the 100m and did best to score in a photo despite a very difficult trip. The Chris Waller-trained filly Hittite raced in second last place in the ten-horse field, before putting in a good run after straightening and then came with a late bid to miss in a photo for a good second while her stablemate Walk The Streets raced outside the leader (How Sweet It Is), got to the front at the 200m and held on well for a close up third.
