Promising three-year-old He’s Our Rokkii scored a smart first-up win. He began well, settled back in fifth place, one off the rails, before moving up at the home turn. He challenged at the 200m and then proved too strong in the closing stages to win quite impressively, looking set for a good preparation, especially over longer trips. The favourite Prince Of Brooklyn raced back in third place, was under riding coming to the home turn but kept responding to challenge at the 100m. He then battled on well for a sound second just finding the winner a bit too good. Jungle Edge went to the front and led the field until the 100m and held on to take the minor placing after running a bold race.
