The German-bred import Plein Ciel now remains unbeaten in all four Australian starts after impressively taking out a Warrnambool Maiden (1300m) on 17 November. He began well from his inside barrier (1), settled in third place on the rails before getting a split to challenge nearing the home turn. He took the lead on straightening and then fought back well to record another smart win.
