Consistent Mick Price-trained four-year-old Red Bomber took his record to six wins from ten starts with an easy win here. He was a bit slow to move and raced in second last in the eight-horse field to the 600m. He improved between runners rounding the home turn, pushed into the clear on straightening and then drew away to win easily by three lengths. The favourite Resistant, also from the Mick Price stable, was fifth one off the rails, moved up wide coming to the home turn and kept running on fairly well to take second.
