Cailin Miss was slowly away and settled down last detached from the field. She commenced a wide run at the 700m and quickly moved up to be challenging wide out on the track on turning for home. She sustained her long run and took the lead at the 300m to go away and score a most impressive victory. Royal Standing enjoyed a lovely run in second position on the quarters of the leader. He took the lead at the 500m and stayed closer to the inside on cornering. He was quickly challenged on his outside by Cailin Miss and momentarily fought back but was no match for the winner over the concluding stages. *ANZ
