Flash Missile was slowly away from the gates and settled down in eighth position between runners. She travelled well into the race and angled for clear running on turning for home before finding a run back to the fence. She quickened up smartly and went clear at the 200m before fending off the late charge of Hussor on the outside late on. Hussor was also slowly away from the gates and settled down in third last position on the fence. Awkwardly placed on the home turn, Hussor was cluttered up near last on the fence. He came with a run between runners wide on the track to finish strongly and just to miss on the line. Also a good effort.
