Rafha’s Choice followed his promising debut win in a TwoYear-Old Maiden (900m) at Kembla on 14 November with a really good win here. He was quickly away, travelled well in front, got a break on turning for home and then fought back gamely to win well, sprinting home in smart time (34.70 last 600m). Attention settled in fifth place, one off the rails, improved (wide) from the 600m, was in a challenging position at the 200m and kept running on in good style for a promising second on debut. Taj Mahal was slowly away and settled last in the six-horse field. He switched deep on straightening and ran on particularly well for a close-up third, also going very well on debut.
