The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained filly Josephine Sea put up a smart effort in winning here on debut. She drifted back at the start and was last in the nine-horse field before settling in seventh place (on the rails). She switched behind runners at the home turn, challenged deeper at the 200m and then finished far too well for a very promising win. She is a horse to watch.
