Last Sight, a son of the 1993 One Thousand Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m) and VRC Oaks (Gr 1, 2500m) winner Arborea (Imperial Prince) scored a narrow but good win at his second race start. He began well and raced outside the leader (Lord Da Vinci) before applying pressure to that horse nearing the home turn. They then had a great battle with Last Sight scoring by a short head from the Sam Pritchard-Gordon trained Lord Da Vinci, who showed good pace and fought back well for a game second. They dominated the race, finishing over five lengths in advance of the third-placed Unbelievable Boy. *ANZ
