Lloyd Williams-raced four-year-old Flex looks the makings of a promising stayer. He began well and soon settled outside the leader, travelling comfortably at a reasonable tempo. He went to the lead on turning for home and raced away over the closing stages to win easily, looking suited to much longer distances.
