After placings in two of her first four starts, the Bjorn Baker-trained filly Allez Bien did well to score her first win in a four-way finish. She worked from barrier seven to find the lead and then eased to race in third place on the rails. She went back to the inner at the 100m and then battled gamely to win in a photo. The Chris Waller-trained filly Canberra raced in sixth place, one off the rails, moved up (under riding) nearing the home turn, challenged at the 100m and then fought on well for a close second while My Kind worked to find the lead in the mid-stages and held on well for a close-up third. Another Chris Waller runner Arazona was near last at the home turn and made very good late ground for a close-up fourth at his second run this preparation.
