WARWICK FARM May 7

Polytrack; Synthetic

11 Heats – 2 x 1175m (1 Open; 1 Maiden/C1); 9 x 740m (4 Open; 3 2YO; 2 Maiden)

Some big names brought unexpected class to this full set held on the polytrack due to the wet weather.

As always it's hard to read a lot into poly trials as few horses come off the bit but this session served the purpose for the likes of MAZU, THINK ABOUT IT, RED CARD and IN SECRET as they prepare for the Brisbane carnival.

They were all given easy trials with RED CARD (3rd) and MAZU (4th) working well within themselves in the open heat over 740m won by GLOBAL EMPIRE (43.50; (32.69).  THINK ABOUT IT finished second and IN SECRET sixth in another 740m heat won by ACCREDITED in much slower time (44.56; 33.45).

REBEL RAMA was an easy winner of the fastest of the two 1175m heats (70.48; 34.64) while 740m heat winners to make an impression included BAT OUT OF HELL (43.72; 33.13)9), KERGUELEN (44.33; 33.54) and the 2YOs ROSA CARA (44.45; 33.73); BLUE SUEDE HOOVES (43.68; 33.29) and IL PASSERO (43.81; 33.18).
