Five Group 1 winners will be offered on a bumper first day of selling at this year's National Broodmare Sale, the catalogue for which has been released by Magic Millions.

The three-day sale starts with a 184-lot race-fillies-and-mares section on May 28, when dual Group 1 winner Atishu, Thousand Guineas winner Madame Pommery, T J Smith Stakes winner Chain Of Lightning and Kiwi mares Belclare and Ulanova will be offered.

Deny Knowledge, Life Lessons, Facile, Mimi's Award, Platinum Jubilee, Legacies and Yonce are among the others to be offered on Day 1.

The second two days of the sale are for broodmares and one who will be offered in Group 1 winner Mariamia, who is in-foal to I Am Invincible.

Other Group winners to be offered include Yosei (served by So You Think), Glistening (I Am Invincible), Annavisto (Toronado) and Rubisaki (Snitzel), while Golden Sixty's dam Gaudeamus is also entered.

All up 619 fillies and mares will be offered, along with lifetime breeding right in champion sire I Am Invincible and shares in Capitalist and Golden Slipper winner and exciting young stallion Stay Inside.

Imperatriz is not listed for sale, but there remains a chance the recently-retired 10-time Group 1 winner could make her way to the Gold Coast and be a part of the supplementary section of the sale should Magic Millions win the battle to offer her.

"From Group 1 winners to unraced and well related young fillies this is one of the world's leading auctions," Magic Millions managing director Barry Bowditch said.

"For buyers, this sale has proven life changing with their mare purchases producing the likes of Winx, Trapeze Artist, Atlantic Jewel, Nature Strip, She's Extreme, Zoustar, Sunlight, Imperatriz, Captivant, Gytrash, Shoals, Farnan and Estijaab.

"The support we have received from owners, breeders and syndicate members can be seen through the quality and depth of the catalogue - we can't wait to present them all at the Gold Coast."

The National Broodmare Sale follows the National Weanling Sale, which will be held on Sunday May 26 and Monday May 27 with the National Yearling Sale to be held the following week, June 4 and 5.
