Watch on Young gun

In-form pacer Watching Our Coin is set to make a strong impression in his Free-For-All debut in the Catalano Pace (2130m) at Gloucester Park.

Watching Our Coin has recorded seven wins and four placings in Western Australia under the care of trainer Michael Young and has quickly progressed to the top level.

Despite not having the experience at the top level like his six rivals tomorrow night do, Young said he was confident he wouldn't be out of his depth.

"I do think he's ready, but I don't at the same time," Young told The Trots WA."I don't think we've got to the bottom of him yet, but he's not great the way he goes about his business.

"I thought his right grade would be Free-For-All, but we've just got there earlier than we probably would have liked to."

Watching Our Coin has drawn barrier three in the small field of seven, with stablemate The Mustang and Babyface Adda to his inside.

Young said he expected Watching Our Coin, to be driven by Gary Hall Jnr, to find the front.

"Ideally The Mustang will sit on Watching Our Coin and that should allow both of them to get their chance," he said.

"I thought The Mustang's last run was the best of all his runs and certainly the best he's gone through the line.

"I think he has to be driven that way.

"Hopefully the Pacing Cup and other feature races aren't out of the question for both of them."

While Watching Our Coin and The Mustang both look set to play a significant role in tomorrow's $31,000 event, they will face stiff opposition in the form of Winter Cup winner Prince Of Pleasure and last start winner Tenzing Bromac.

Young will also be well represented in the later in the night in The West Australian Pace (1730m) for the two-year-old fillies.

Pecunious will start first-up in the event from barrier two, while Princess Katie will continue her Diamond Classic build up from barrier seven.

Young said he favoured Princess Katie, but conceded Lenora Jane would be hard to beat.
