The Jess Tubbs-trained megastar suffered his first defeat since returning from Sweden in mid-2023 when narrowly beaten by Anton Golino's European import in the GSS Final on February 3 and the two locks horns once again at Melton this Saturday night.

Just Believe has gate one for the Australian Trotting Grand Prix, while Callmethebreeze has four in the $75,000 event.

The TAB opened him $1.70 from the inside draw and he was quickly backed into a firm $1.50 favourite as Callmethebreeze drifted from $2.70 to $3.20 through the first hour of betting.

Im Ready Jet (gate two), Keayang Ignite (three), Keayang Chucky (five), Majestuoso (six), Arcee Phoenix (seven) and Aldebaran Dino (eight) are the other rivals in Saturday night's Group 1 showdown.

Just Believe won the first clash with Callmethebreeze at Ballarat on January 20 before the latter squared the ledger at 1-1 with his victory in the Great Southern Star Final two weeks on.

Saturday night's meeting also features the Lyn McPherson Memorial Breed For Speed Gold, Silver and Bronze finals on what is an all-trotting card at Victorian harness racing headquarters.

Friday night will see the $25,000 Geelong Rocket at Beckley Park, with star pacers Mach Dan (five) and Catch A Wave (six) drawn the widest of the six runners.
